In a bowl combine: 1½ cups all-purpose flour; ½ cup whole wheat flour; 2/3 cup non-fat dry milk powder; 1 tablespoon baking powder; ¼ teaspoon onion salt; ¼ teaspoon celery salt; 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese; 6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled; 1 tablespoon fresh minced parsley; 1 tablespoon minced chives In another bowl mix together: 3 egg yolks; 1¾ cup water; ¼ cup oil; 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Stir into the dry ingredients just until combined. In another bowl beat: 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter. Pour cup batter directly into the center section of the preheated GSI Waffle Iron without overflowing into spill reservoir. There is no need to coat pan with oil. Close and secure handles (keep them away from flames). Cook over low heat for approximately 3 minutes per side. Adjust heat as needed. As the pan warms up, less time will be needed to cook the waffles. Top with tomato slices or salsa. |
